My Masterpiece is our premiere product line. Masterpiece reeds are individually inspected at 9 different steps of production. We select Masterpiece reeds by three criteria:

1. Cane-Consistent golden color. A minimum of the imperfections found in natural cane.
2. Symmetry-A near perfect crescent moon shape on the reed. Only well centered pre-shaved blanks can produce this crescent. It means the center fibers of the reed continues straight through to the tip. Some manufactures cut a line perpendicular to the reed to hide an off center crescent.
3. Cut-A smooth even cut from tip to crust.
